Tom Aldridge

I have been working with clients with emotional, social and behavioural difficulties for over 12 years. My specialism in child & adolescent psychotherapeutic counselling offers therapy in a deeply relational, fun and creative way. With a foundation in trauma-informed care and signifiant experience working with neurodiverse young people in primary, secondary and alternative education, my approach extends beyond the counselling room – I collaborate closely with school and family, advocating for each child’s holistic well-being in all environments.

As a Level 6 Integrative Child & Adolescent Psychotherapeutic Counsellor (Registered by the UK Council for Psychotherapy), I use a variety of modalities in therapy including sand tray work, play, mindfulness, art and neuroscience. My open and personable attitude allows humour and creativity to create a strong bond with my clients that facilitates young people to be able to express themselves fully.

Counselling is a way of exploring issues, feelings, relationships and behaviours in order to improve wellbeing, feel listened to and understood. I am passionate about my work and my aim is to help young people between ages 7-18 to make sense of their difficulties, whether emotional or relational, by helping them explore experiences and feelings they want to work through at their own pace and in a way that is tailored to their needs.

On a more personal note, I love walking my family labradoodle, watching and playing football (Man City fan).  Please feel free to get in contact with Invicta Therapy to organise a free 15 minute consultation with me.
