I love to work with individuals to build a trusting relationship and provide a safe and supportive space in which you can explore your concerns and find insight about your past experiences and how they impact you in the present.
I’m a qualified counsellor with a L4 Diploma in Counselling Practice including work with individuals and couples, have qualifications in telephone and online counselling, and “Walk and Talk” therapy. I am currently working towards a MSc in Advanced Counselling and Psych
otherapy and hope to complete this in 2024. As a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, I undertake to complete continual professional development, and I abide by their professional code of ethics.
My initial training concentrated on the psychodynamic approach, but more recently, I have found that integrating a compassion-focused approach, with mindfulness in a natural setting can be helpful for some clients. I believe we all instinctively understand that being outdoors is
good for us, but it can also offer mental health benefits to some clients. Walking and talking can bring an equality to the therapeutic relationship, is often an analogy for the healing journey itself, and being out in nature offers rich and varied metaphors that may help express feelings and emotions otherwise hidden.
