Sometimes by being able to explore and look at things differently you are more able to make positive changes, or you may want to work more in depth to explore how past experiences are showing up in your present and affecting your relationships, then I am here to support you in your journey.

The Chinese philosopher ‘Lao Tzu’, said, “The Journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.”  I guess he wasn’t wrong, because you won’t get anywhere unless you start the journey.  By seeking therapy, you have been very brave in taking that first step and you will not be on your own during your journey as I will be with you along the way, gently offering you my support and guidance to enable you to work through what is troubling you.

It was during my own counselling that I realised how powerful the trusting relationship which developed between myself and my counsellor was, in enabling me to overcome the fear of being judged and able to talk freely and most importantly really feeling heard, safe and supported.  This empowered me to continue along a path I had contemplated years ago, that of becoming a counsellor and helping people with life difficulties.  I am passionate about how empowering the work is and how it can help a person discover themselves and be able to have a more fulfilled life.    

 

The aim of the therapeutic space is to work together in building a trusting relationship, enabling us to work towards your development of a greater understanding of yourself and your emotions, both now and from past life experiences, in how they have shaped you,  giving way to be able to learn how to express your emotions in more positive and healthier ways.
