If you are in a relationship where conflict, lack of communication, boredom, stress, loss of intimacy etc has crept in, then couples therapy can provide a powerful, neutral space where both individuals are respected and accepted. It is a space where identity can be rediscovered, where the relationship becomes the Client looking for healing and nurturing, where each partner or individual can BE individual , can have a voice , can hear and be heard. It’s an investment into finding and making a path for the relationship to change. That path may be one of enrichment, of increased intimacy and understanding or it may be a path of acceptance and finding a good way to end a relationship. It’s about a commitment to find change in the relationship and identify how that may be possible.
COUPLES THERAPY

The Process
In couples therapy each person is encouraged to explore where their life views may have come from; what they experienced in childhood and how that may have impacted their beliefs on how a partnership works relationally. It’s a space to explore the machinations of how each other works and develop ways or strategies to bring out the best in each other.
Present struggles or issues can be discussed and patterns explored which may bring understanding and awareness of what each person needs within the couple. There is no such thing as a perfect relationship but with time and commitment we can find a better way of being with each other.

Testimonials from Couples
Couple A
Couples counselling was exactly what we needed to help us create better connection with one another, improve communication and deepen our intimacy. I would recommend couples counselling to everyone at least once in their lifetime whether they are in crisis or not!
Couple B
Counselling has helped us stabilise our marriage and begin to draw closer together as a couple. It has provided a safe place where the issues of the heart can be discussed without judgement and received with years of wisdom & professional care. Our marriage has never been stronger and we owe a huge part of that to the counsellor’s work with us. We can not recommend and thank her enough.
